About Adelindra
I’m Adelindra Meijer, a afrocentric painter living in The Netherlands. As a biracial woman, I embrace the multifaceted aspects of my identity, infusing
my art with a celebration of diversity and individuality. For me, painting is more than just a creative outlet; it’s my sanctuary, a safe space where I find solace and freedom.
As I paint, the colors dance in harmony, reflecting the diversity of my
experiences. The canvas becomes a visual diary, an intimate memoir of
moments that have left an indelible mark on my soul. It is through this
kaleidoscope of memories that I find solace and strength, embracing the
beauty of my biracial heritage and celebrating the multifaceted nature of
my identity.
Behind the work

I believe that everyone deserves to feel embraced as they are and to experience all the wonders our world has to offer and cherish the wonderful journey that is being alive.
I believe that life is an adventure and there is an abundance of inspiration all around us; and when we invite that wonderous spirit into our hearts, the world becomes a better place. I aim to offer a space for you to see yourself in the subjects I paint; these bold, authentic and bubbly people who are eager to shine bright in the world vibrantly and with enthusiasm.
